Our Programs
Since 1949 we have had as part of our mission, providing youth services to residents of the community that surrounds us, with the goal of enabling them to become positive, proactive, productive, safe, healthy and competent enough to utilize their strengths and skills. LSNC has long helped young people gain independent lives and develop their strengths and skills by employing the methodologies and strategies of prevention, early intervention, education, an interdisciplinary team approach, work within family and community contexts, advocacy and vigorous follow-up.
Preschool - Early Childcare Support
Daycare provides a "home away from home" atmosphere in which children and their parents feel part of an extended family that cares about their growth and development.
Children YES! - Youth Empowered To Succeed
In keeping with the mission, Youth Empowered To Succeed (YES) and Summer Camp Programs strive to engage and support the educational, social, cultural and recreational/health needs of children in an effort to prepare them to successfully address future challenges and to become better decision makers.
Everybody Wins - Early Adolescent Support Services
Everybody Wins engages 50, 11-14 year olds in an after school program, which takes place Monday through Friday, from 3:00pm - 6:00pm, during the school year. The program is called Everybody Wins, because it is the agency's belief that each individual that comes through the door is already a "winner" and has the ability to be successful in school and life by having additional support.
Older Adults - Maintain Independence, Improve their Quality of Life
As community members aged, LSNC developed new services and created new partnerships to meet these emerging needs. Now, senior Connections builds on our history as a community-driven settlement house. We leverage the social capital of our community residents by leveraging the community's strengths and making the community's cultures, traditions and rich history the foundation of all or our programs and services.
